For Beach & Sunset Photo Sessions

Below are some answers to commonly asked questions, please check and see if your question is addressed within our FAQ. If the answer is not there, please reach out to us by phone or message and one of staff members will assist you.

Are there restrictions on the number of participants?

It depends on the package you choose. We only restrict the number of people for the 30 & 60 minutes sessions simply because the more people you add, the more time is required to get lots of good photos of everyone.

Do you also offer event or wedding photography services?

Absolutely! We offer personalized personal & business branding, corporate event photography as well as wedding photography. Visit our Hawaii Wedding Photography website here.

What is your weather/rescheduling policy?

We require a 24 hour notice prior to changing an appointment. Refunds are NOT given for acts of God beyond our control such as weather, wind, sunburns, rain, etc. Rescheduling due to weather is at our discretion only. With that said, we want you to go home with stunning photos just as much as you do so we will always do our best to accommodate and reschedule your session for a later date or time. Please keep in mind, however, that shoot availability can be limited and all sessions are reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.

Why do you require a deposit and is it refundable?

We require a 50% deposit to reserve your Hawaii family photo session and block that time and date off on our calendar. The deposit is 100% refundable if you cancel your session more than 3 days (72 hrs) prior to your session. The deposit can be made on our Book A Shoot page.

What is your photo shoot cancellation policy?

We ask that you provide us with at least 6 hours notice of cancelation prior to your scheduled photo shoot. While we don’t have a cancellation fee, we do have a $50 no-show fee.

What should I bring to the photo shoot?

You just need bring your awesome self and your best mood. We will do the rest. It is best if you leave bags and purses behind. We can always hold them for you in our studio while you head out for the session.

What should I wear for the photo shoot?

Most importantly, you should wear whatever feels comfortable. We recommend outfits with solid colors, this is because the scenic backdrops in Hawaii are busy (water, sky, trees, mountains, rock, etc). A lot of people opt for bright colors or whites, both are great choices. We do recommend sandals which are easy to take off to get your feet wet or sandy for the beach shots.

Where are the photo session locations?

Once we book the session, we will send you an email confirmation telling you where to meet with your photographer at the start of your session. We will usually meet at a hotel’s lobby by our desk.

What happens if it rains or there is bad weather?

Hawaii’s weather is very unpredictable, which is why we don’t usually make a decision until a few hours before your photo shoot’s start time. If the weather isn’t cooperating, we will call you to reschedule your session.

What happens if I am late for my photo shoot?

If there isn’t a session scheduled after yours, you get lucky and the photographer would stay with you longer. However, the photographer is usually scheduled for multiple back-to-back shoots, which means it would shorten your session. And if it’s a sunset session, then your session will be shorter because once the sun sets, the light is gone.

What is the image quality of the photos produced?

The photos are taken in high resolution, which means you could print a canvas and the photo would be crisp. Typically 5-11MB per image.

What happens if I cannot come in for a viewing session?

We love to have you come in for the whole experience of the viewing session as we usually have a surprise for you. However, if you absolutely cannot make it, we can upload all the watermarked images to an online gallery where you will be able to view the photos and select your favorites.

What if I lose my pictures, do you have a backup?

Absolutely. Your online gallery is active and available for two months. If you lose your images after that, there is a $35 charge to un-archive your images and re-deliver your photos. We recommend backing up ALL your digital photos and important documents to an online service such as Dropbox.com
